FAQs

What gear is needed?

Please bring your mask, fins, regulator, and BCD. We’ll provide the tanks and weights for your dive. If you don’t have this equipment, rentals are available.

What will happen to my booking(deposit) if weather is bad?

If the weather prevents us from diving, there is no charge—you may reschedule at any time or request a refund. Typically, we will know a day or so in advance whether conditions will be acceptable and will inform you if we are unable to safely proceed with the trip

What can I bring on the boat?

We provide plenty of water. You’re welcome to bring whatever you’d like for lunch and/or snacks (please note that alcohol is not allowed on the boat). A cooler with ice will be available to keep your items cold. If you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend taking Dramamine. We also suggest bringing sunscreen, a hat, a towel, or UV-protective clothing.

How deep do you dive to fossil hunt?

The depth ranges from our shallowest spot at 15 feet to our deepest at around 36 feet. It’s a very comfortable and enjoyable dive.

What is the visibility during the dive?

Visibility varies from day to day, but this is not typically a high-visibility dive. It usually ranges from 3 to 12 feet, though it can occasionally reach up to 15 feet. We do not book trips if visibility falls below 3 feet.
